Dive site characteristics
Behavior to have: respect the environment and the fauna.
The dives are done from a boat (except otherwise). The water current is mild (except otherwise). Ask to local people. The dives are done in sea water, watch your buoyancy. Raise the weight on your weight belt accordingly. A 7.5mm thick neoprene wet suit is mandatory. A dry suit may be more suitable depending of your comfort habits. Water temperature is around 60°F but with underwater currents it may drop to around 48°F.

|7-80′||Bird’s Island||Be carefull about currents which may be strong depending where you dive. Check the tide schedule. It is most preferrable to dive at low or at high tide. Be carefull about tourist boats around the island!|
From Sydney, take road 125 heading West. Take road 105 to the Lake Bras D’or. Travel for about 8km and turn left on Factory road and drive up the wharf. This is a 55km drive. From there you have to take a boat in order to cross to the island (1:30 hour).
