Diving notes

It is important to take good reference point with the compass before diving and bring a lamp. The visibility is sometime poor. The return has to be done in the right direction! The essential thing to remember is if you go against the current, the exit is on your right while with the current, the exit is on your left.

The dive is done by boat. From the East point shore of the Morrison Island, the dive starts. You dive the lock with the current and ends by coming back against the current.

On the East side at the lock’s exit, there is a underwater bassin (where the ships get to wait when the lock was operating) where a small whirl pool current may be present. The visibility might then be reduced.

In case of difficuties, you have to let you drift while ascending in the North-West direction in order to reach the small island (little dot North-East of the point Morrison).

On the picture, you can see the green marks indicating the Morrison Island East point, the small island and the Ferran’s Park. The whole is now submerged including the lock.
