Diving notes

Dives are done from a boat. BEWARE: some dives need a higher formation and are not recommanded for recreational diving. The depth does change a lot at some places, it is highly recommended to have a bathymetric map. Sacacomie has an arboriginal origine designating a plant used to replace tobacco. The diagram shows the reference marks. The depth ratio is high. The maximum depth may reach 110’ in the East central part.

Note: directions are accurate as possible. It is highly recommended to dive with someone knowing the lake. Usa a bathymetric map if you dive there for the first time without a buddy knowing the lake. Take note also that your cell phone may not work in that area in case of emergency.

Approximative travel time : 2:30 hrs From highway 40, take exit 166, turn right and follow up to Louiseville. Once the church has been passed, turn left on road 349. Follow up to the church of St-Alexis-Des-Monts. Pass on the left side of the church taking Rang St-Olivier (which will become Rang Sacacomie), follow up to the Sacacomie lake Auberge.
